Family Photoshoot At Pena Palace With The Klopfensteins
Note: if you are thinking of having your photoshoot in Pena Palace or other Sintra Palace, be aware that that requires a special ticket/authorization and even then photos inside the palace itself are not allowed. Be sure to book a photographer that is aware of these legalities so you will have a good experience.
Jessica reached out to me on instagram a few months before her trip to Portugal with her husband and son. The Klopfensteins are from Florida but have traveled all over the world together, as a family.
It was June and Sintra welcomed them with warm temperatures and a shining sun (plus some crowds, typical of the season). We started our journey right outside Pena Palace and from there we went down the mountain, exploring all little corners and paths available in the 200 acres that surround Pena Palace.
Among good conversations, laughter and playful moments, there was also opportunity to simply (re)connect with both the nature that surrounded them and themselves as family and individuals.
I always like to invite my families to enjoy some time alone, in silence, to just reconnect with each other and with themselves, individually. Every element in a family interacts differently with all other elements and it is extremely important to honor all those different dynamics and relationships. Mom and son, son and dad, mom and dad. All together. All these are different relationships within the same core.
Love, understanding and gratitude were some of the emotions I could see in the Klopfensteins’s eyes.
Thank you Jessica, John and Evan for such a fun afternoon in your company!
With love,
Patrícia
